Neck
Cervical Rotation: Controlled
Restores controlled rotation range in your neck, improving your ability to turn your head comfortably and with smooth, coordinated movement.
How to do it
- 1
Sit tall with your shoulders relaxed
Feet on the floor, chest open, head balanced over the shoulders rather than poking forward.
- 2
Turn your head slowly to one side
Let the eyes lead and turn until you meet a gentle limit, then stop there. Keep the chin level the whole way.
- 3
Return to the middle before changing sides
Pause facing forward for a moment. The control between turns matters as much as the turn itself.
- 4
Continue slowly for thirty to sixty seconds
A smaller turn done smoothly is worth more than a bigger one. Reduce the range if the end of the turn feels sharp.
What to watch for
The chin lifting as you turn, which tips the head back at the end of the range. Keep the chin level and turn less far so the movement stays a clean turn.
Ways to adjust it
- Reduce range
Before you try it
Move within a range that stays comfortable. Stop if this brings on sharp pain, dizziness, or symptoms that travel down an arm or a leg, and speak to a clinician before repeating it.
One movement is a start. A session is the thing.
A few questions about your body and how it is today, and Vinys builds a session around it, including which movements to leave out.
